On the morning of 12 December 2022, three residents of Collegio Sant'Anselmo were installed as acolytes. Acolyte installation is a preparatory rite, or minor order, leading to the priesthood. Installed, in descending order of monastic profession, were Pietro Bui, OSB; Kokila Fernando OSB; and Raban Heyer, OSB. Story and photos here.

Early in October, two newly-ordained residents celebrated their first Masses at Sant'Anselmo. Fathers Gregorio Carrizal, of Christ in the Desert, and John George, of the Abbey of Saint Gregory the Great, Downside, continued the Catholic tradition of blessing those in attendance. To celebrate the Solemnity of the Transitus of Saint Benedict, the Sant’Anselmo community was pleased to welcome S.E. Cardinal Angelo De Donatis to preside over the Mass and to join us for our festive lunch. Photos and story here.

On 19 March, H.E. Msgr. Georg Gänswein, Prefect of the Papal household, ordained three Collegio residents, Gregorio Carrizal, OSB, Gregorio Vega, OSB, and Placido Schinagl, OSB, into the diaconate. Story and photos here.

On the afternoon of 19 November 2021, a group of students and administrators from Collegio Sant’Anselmo took a trip to the monastery of Praglia to celebrate the priestly ordination of their fellow resident, Alfio Catalano. Story and photos here.

Yesterday, 11 November, on the day of the Feast of the Dedication of the Church of Sant'Anselmo, the academic and monastic community celebrated by inviting H.E. Rev. Mgr. Tamburrino, Benedictine monk of the Abbey of Praglia, to preside at the Holy Mass. Story and photos here.
