On 1 January 2021, Prof. Philippe Rouillard OSB (1926-2021), monk and priest of the Abbey of Saint-Paul de Wisques, passed away.

Professor Rouillard received a doctorate in theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Sant’Anselmo in 1958 and from 1972 to 2002 he was professor at the Faculty of Theology.

A full professor of Sacramental Theology since 1988, he was also Director of the Studia Anselmiana series.

We pray for the deceased and for his community.

  • Two Residents celebrate First Masses

    Early in October, two newly-ordained residents celebrated their first Masses at Sant'Anselmo. Fathers Gregorio Carrizal, of Christ in the Desert, and John George, of the Abbey of Saint Gregory the Great, Downside, continued the Catholic tradition of blessing those in attendance.   • Fr. Elijah Owens Elected Abbot of Subiaco Abbey, USA

    Father Elijah Owens, OSB, was elected by the monastic chapter on Thursday, 7 June 2022, as the eighth abbot of Subiaco Abbey. Abbot Elijah lived at Collegio Sant’Anselmo from 2014-2021 while he was studying at the Monastic Institute in the Faculty of Theology.
