To celebrate the Solemnity of the Transitus of Saint Benedict, the Sant’Anselmo community was pleased to welcome S.E. Cardinal Angelo De Donatis to preside over the Mass and to join us for our festive lunch.

Cardinal De Donatis serves as Cardinal Vicar (Vicar General of His Holiness), Archpriest of the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, and Grand Chancellor of the Pontifical Lateran University.

Abbot Primate Gregory Polan OSB welcomed Cardinal De Donatis at the opening of the Mass: “Cardinal De Donatis, we are very pleased to have you with us on the occasion of this celebration so important for the Benedictines. And we thank you for your precious work as Vicar General of His Holiness for the Diocese of Rome and for the whole Church.”
