On Saturday 16 October 2021, an alumni of our college, Fr. Alessandro Trespioli OSB, celebrated his first Mass at his “alma mater”. Fr Alessandro is a monk of the venerable Monastery of Montecassino, and he studied philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Sant’Anselmo, where he is still enrolled as a second-year student of the licentiate program in Monastic Spiritual Theology.
He was ordained a priest on 25 September 2021 by the imposition of hands of H.E. Mons. Vittorio Viola, Secretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. After his First Collegio Sant’Anselmo Mass, Fr. Alessandro gave his blessing individually to the residents of the college.
